Halfway Has A Busy Night Responding On Back To Back Incidents

On the night of July 7th, It was busy on the overnight for the crews in Halfway as they responded on back to back incidents into the early morning hours. The first call came in just before midnight for an Automatic Fire Alarm 23:37 hours. Engine 261 handled the call with a crew of 4 finding it to be a false alarm. The next call came in around 02:34 hours when Engine 261 responded into the City Of Hagerstown to assist on a 2 Alarm Building Fire. The Engine crew was committed on the incident for nearly 2 hours assisting Hagerstown Fire Department.

While crews worked on the 2 Alarmer, a second crew responded with Tower 26 around 03:30hrs for a personal injury accident on Interstate 70. Tower 26 arrived to find the vehicle engulfed in flames. Crews pulled an attack line and began their fire attack until the arrival of additional personnel from Williamsport Fire & EMS and Funkstown Fire. Due to the seriousness of the accident, Tower 26 remained committed with Williamsport crews for 3hours.
